Participation in the MARIHE Programme is possible either:
- with an Erasmus+/Erasmus Mundus Scholarship of different categories (more information on categories)
- or as a non-scholarship holder (self-paying student).
The participation costs/"tuition fees" for the whole study period of four semesters are:
- Non-scholarship holders: 12 000 Euro
- Participation with Erasmus+/Erasmus Mundus scholarship: either 9 000 Euro (for programme country applicants) or 12 000 Euro (for partner country applicants)
For holders of an Erasmus+/Erasmus Mundus scholarship (all categories) all participation costs (fees) are covered by the scholarship.
What is included?
The participation costs/"tuition fees" include participation in all classes offered within the MARIHE curriculum; support in administrative and organisational issues by the consortium partners; costs for enrollment at the consortium partner's institutions; all examinations and issueing of the final diploma.
For holders of an Erasmus+/Erasmus Mundus scholarship, an emergency and accident insurance according to the minimum requirements of the Erasmus+ Programme is included.
For holders of an Erasmus+/Erasmus Mundus scholarship (all categories), all participation costs are covered by the scholarship.
What is not included?
The participation costs/"tuition fees" do not cover travel costs from country of origin, travel costs because of the mobilities, travel documents (passport, visas), accommodation and living expenses, other costs (e.g. study books, stationery, photocopies, excursions etc.).
For these costs, holders of an Erasmus+/Erasmus Mundus scholarship will receive contributions to travel, installation and subsistence costs.

Scholarships and Financial Aid
Non-scholarship holders in MARIHE can apply for financial aid from Erasmus+ student mobility, which is different from an Erasmus+/Erasmus Mundus scholarship. Erasmus+ student mobility can be applied for after admission to MARIHE programme and can be granted for the duration of the second semester in Finland and for the internship between second and third semester. This student mobility funding amounts to approximately 300 Euro/month, depending on the country where study period or internship are spent.
