Assessment Criteria & Review Process

MARIHE’s review process reflects our commitment to select top students who will thrive in our international research-focused environment. We believe that the best cohorts are built on diversity of thought, experience, and passion. Our selection process is designed to recognise not just your academic achievements but also your unique potential to shape the future of higher education. We use a transparent, multi-criteria approach that balances academic excellence with personal motivation and communication skills. The review process mirrors the application process, consisting of two rounds.

ROUND 1 Assessment Criteria:

The scores from the first round of the review will be used to form a ranked shortlist. Based on this list, shortlisted applicants will be asked to submit a video presentation.

ROUND 2 Assessment Criteria:

Final Result:

The overall scores from both rounds are weighted.

Bases on the final score, the MARIHE Admission Board forms a ranked list of applications for the selection of students. If two or more applications on this ranked list show the same score, the Admission Board will decide on their ranking.

Applicants may file a complaint regarding the review result, as instructed here, section on Appeals Procedure.
